and screen. His interest in writing started with contributing articles to his father's newspaper in Iran. Having
entered school and later university in England, his
literary interest expanded to encompass the western
approach to writing. Since moving to Southern
California in 1990, Zia has been writing plays and
screenplays, both in Farsi and English.
